This Saturday, you can play an important role in identifying critical issues that Common Ground neighborhood and church leaders want the City of Milwaukee government to address.
In its first action since the Common Ground founding convention in April, volunteers will be walking the blocks of Milwaukee’s Amani neighborhood July 12 to talk with neighborhood residents and document items in need of improvement—things like sidewalks to be fixed, abandoned cars to be towed away, and abandoned houses to be boarded up.
More than 50 volunteers have already signed up for the walk/audit, and the more people who get involved the more we can accomplish. The effort begins at 9 a.m. sharp and will end promptly at 1 p.m. Volunteers will meet at Greater New Birth Church, 2207 W. Center St. For full details, contact Christ Church’s Nancy Morris, or email Vanessa Llanas.
