The FORUM Speaker this Sunday, April 19, 2026
The Rev. John Hickey will speak:
Caught in a Whirlwind! The Book of Job and William Blake
The Book of Job raises many confusing questions, like: Why do bad things happen to good people? Does God make bets with Satan? And, why does a crocodile make God great? We may find answers in William Blake’s illustrations. Or maybe not. After all, God’s ways are not our ways.
BIO: At St. Mark’s, Rev. Hickey embraces being a retired priest – he still harangues the congregation from the pulpit while never having to attend a vestry meeting. He holds an M.F.A. in Film, a J.D. in law, and a M.Div. from Seabury-Western.
